So it was my turn to be ill, not surprising after all the busyness; sneezy, awful headaches, muscle aches and pains, cough, tiredness lasting the whole of half term, cough all but gone now finally!
Still half term was nice, we made it to the Lego Movie which the boys loved, and then had a very fun and relaxing time away at Alton Towers Hotel. It was even better than we thought, very child friendly with DS and lego areas and kids entertainment. Great restaurant for breakfast and dinner all you can eat buffets who also cooked separately for the boys diets which they loved. Great water park of pools, slides and water shooting. Spa pm for me in the aqua relaxation rooms.
This week was back into appointments with Aaron and Josh managing to have one the same day; am was Aaron to Epsom for blood tests which he hates, pm was Josh to London-Gastro and also blood tests. He however is really brave :)
On the way to the appointment we fitted in a walk around South bank and saw Bubble Love and his giant bubbles and a street dance/acrobatic type group who picked Josh from the crowd for the show!
Appointment wise not as much fun. Josh is showing some improvement on the medicine I suggested last summer, however somehow this means despite still getting a dozen episodes of diarrhea a month, reflux, bladder troubles and stomach pains she is less interested in treating him. I'm not sure she likes me much! I question her treatments etc, expect perfection (who wouldn't for their child) and now have asked to transfer to her colleague who treats Aaron!
Aaron still seems to be doing well on his new medication combination and has managed the tapering off steroids. He is however getting a lot of the knee pain.
Next week we have Josh's appointment with his lovely paediatrician on Tuesday. A follow-up hearing test for Aaron, whose hearing has fluctuated and at the moment seems quite reduced. This can go with the general inflammation he suffers from and also with Ethan's history. The following week Aaron has his GOS appointment where we can review his lab results symptoms etc
