catch up

Just looked at the big gap between posts!
After getting the negative fructose malabsorbtion test he completed the 2 cycles of ciprofloxicin, the follow up test showed a little improvement but still high levels of bacteria, certainly symptomatically he was the same.
Just before starting back after the summer we had a great family day out at the paralympics;

In september Josh started school, he is really enjoying 'learning' apparantly and is getting to know all the new people in his class. School are very flexible and he has 2 afternoons off a week where he catches up on sleep mainly! Ethan is loving school too, he's in a small class with a lovely teacher, however his ears are playing up again, but he is also seen at St Helier now too (but by ENT) by a dr with some new ideas.
In October Josh had an appointment with his GOS consultant to discuss his progress and make plans. she agreed with our more local consultant at St Helier, but it was bad timing as he was just finishing his cipro anti biotics course which tends we think to constipate him, so making it hard to tell how he was doing. the following week i attended a gastroenterology study day in October. This was very informative and got me looking into links between hypermobility/my tachycardia/Josh's bowel.
Next was Josh's 5th birthday, can't believe he's now 5 and at school, big milestones!
Amongst all this my finger injury (8th Aug) was still troubling me wih lots of swelling and poor mobility. after 3 trips to the GP i was referred back to A+E where i had another x-ray which they thought showed the bone wasn't healing, the orthopaedic surgeon though did think it was but referred me for hand physio! Its no been 3 months and its still ongoing, slow progress but still swelling and impaired movement.
