So Aaron completed his 'loading doses' of infliximab yesterday, next dose in 6-8 weeks depending. He did well but was clearly getting bored by the end of 7 hours on the ward, mostly in bed, also not so easy going about all the poking and prodding, but ok.
He again tolerated it very well apart from some fluctuations in his heart rate which were probably nothing of concern. We however had to endure watching 'Frozen' twice in a row on DVD!!
A slow day more like the 1st with each step being double the expected length of time eg pre-meds take 1/2hr to work but next stage not started til an hour 1/4 later...it all adds up which meant we were not home til much later again.
This dose seemed much needed as in the 10 days before he was experiencing knee pains again, tiredness, blood and mucous and diarrhea and pain.
