As expected, after our recent appointment at GOS, the biopsies showed chronic inflammation in the stomach and large bowel with the cell changes which go along with that, so we are waiting for a start date for infliximab also known as remicade. They will do 3 of these 2 hour infusions (along with benadryl and steroids to try and prevent any reaction) within 6 weeks, by the end of this it is hoped that the funding they have applied for will come through to start this more locally every approximately 8 weeks.At the appointment he had the pre-check blood tests and chest x-ray for TB and was very brave!
